November Goals// 2015

Wow the rest of this year is going by so fast! I can't believe we're 11 whole days into November! I have to say that I'm excited to finally put some goals down and begin to implement my dreams and desires. Working (now 2 jobs) and going to school full time, I tend to forget about/ not make time for my passions and the stuff that gets me excited about life (writing, reading, laughing, etc). This turns into this whole cycle that starts with me becoming one track minded, sad and overwhelmed too quickly. I mean don't get me wrong staying focused and not straying too far off my path is great but by keeping up the pace I'm moving at, I'm prone to burning out soon, especially around this time of the year because everything is around the corner (final presentations, the holidays, etc.).
Now is the time for me to nip the end-of-the-semester irritation and drainage in the butt and at least try to do some things that aren't related to school or clubs. Well without further ado, here's my list of Goals for November 2015!

1. Workout 3 times a week// Becoming a healthier me shouldn't have to wait until the end of the year or the beginning of the new year to want to change my life for the better. By at least starting somewhere now, I can become the person I would like to be in the future. More about my fitness/ health journey in my new Fitness Fridays series that I'll be posting about soon!

2. Complete Jamberry University// If you don't know, now you know (Biggie Smalls Voice)! I signed up to be a Jamberry Nails Independent Consultant in my birth month of August because I fell in love with the product and the brand as a whole! The only problem is that I didn't realize how much work would go into both trying to run my business and working and keeping up with 18 units. So now I want to go back to the basics and complete the intro courses that will teach me everything I need to know about the business so I can launch officially this December or in January!

3. Spend 30 minutes a day with God daily// This is a more than just a goal for this month, it's a life style change that I've been putting off for a while now. I bought a nice bible with the fancy tabs for each chapter and it's just been sitting in my side-dresser for the past year, only brought out when I finally decided to go to church. But for the past few months I've been feening for that deeper connection with God but just haven't been willing to step out on my faith like I should. By physically writing down my committment to seek the Lord, I hope I find that deeper connection with God because I know my spirit is in need of some restoration right about now.

4. Write 5-7 blog entries// This goal is a bit self explanatory, mainly because I want to develop my blog more and invest more time and energy into finding my voice within the blogging universe. Right now, baby steps is the way to go (at least until the semester ends) and I think that this amount of posts is doable for the time being.

5. Go on a spending fast for the month of November// (Well the rest of the month of November) I want NEED to cut back on my spending, which is why I'm deciding to start my spending fast on my next payday (13th). The line between wants and needs for me isn't very clear anymore and I need to define it ASAP before the holidays take over and I really get into trouble. More about it will be in an upcoming blog post soon!

5. Hike Tummaoc Hill// My final goal of the month is to hike this very large and popular hill that we have here in the great city of Tucson, AZ. The weather is amazing during this time of year and will help make the hike much more bearable. Hopefully I can drag my friends along and make the trip about 3 times this month!

Do you have any goals that you're dying to accomplish this month? Let me know in the comments!

F21+ Spring Break Packing Guide

F21+ Spring Break Guide

If I was going on Spring Break (again) and I had the chance to go out and buy an entire new wardrobe for the occasion these items would be the first to go into my bag! Everything is light, easy to wear and perfect for a creating a break to remember without trying hard to look cute. Forever 21 has always been my #1 stop shop for anything cute and affordable when it comes to plus size clothes mainly because I love their selection and I have a store close to me so I can try everything on (because I hate shopping online and trying to eyeball everything, wayyyy too much effort! lol).
My favorite pieces thus far are the black crochet bikini, chino shorts, romper and the elephant palazzo pants because they just scream my style and I've already came up with about 10 different ways I want to wear them and where I'd want to wear them to!
Do you have any musthaves for spring break(or spring in general) that you'd love to have? Comment them down below!

6 Productive Things to Do Over Winter Break

Now that winter break is in full swing for my college I've been wasting my life away watching Netflix and pinning my heart out to the point where I just can't do it anymore. So my goal for the next two weeks is to become a more productive me, then by doing so, I will be ready and willing to start off the semester strong, refreshed, and ready to conquer my classes. I came up with a list of things that can keep me productive and busy so I can get ahead of the curve on my future and also just do more than what I've been doing lately.

Here are my top items to do over Winter Break:
-Catch up on your favorite blogs
I know that during the semester I'm guilty of procrastinating to the max and end up looking at my favorite blogs instead of doing my HW, so now that I don't have anything to do, this is the perfect time to review my oldies and find some goodies as well.

-Research Internships and/ or Grad Programs
Whether you just barely finished your freshman year or are going into your final semester of college, it's never too late to think about an internship that may pique your interests or getting another degree in something you truley love. These last few weeks of your break is the perfect opportunity to research and/ or apply for a chance to dive head on into new opportunites you haven't even heard of!

-Read, Read,and Read!
I know I'm not the only person who has a stack of books that they bought on Amazon during the semester and haven't even cracked the spine because there wasn't enough time to read for pleasure. Now is the perfect chance to at least make a dent in the stack (or list if you have a Kindle) and get them out of the way! Reading also gives you a great excuse to step away from your computer for a while and finally let it reboot and upgrade the applications you kept putting off until a later time (speaking from personal experience here!).

-Organize your Space
Clean up your room and do a complete purge of everything you don't need so you can make room for the things that you will need. This is a great time to tae inventory of everything you'll need from notebooks to a new pair of boots because your faves have a hole in them that you didn't want to admit was there! By starting the year off clean and organized, you'll surely feel more confident about the upcoming semester.

-Clean Out Your Email
Self explanatory. Plus doing you want to erase that 1,000 email number so that you can see how many NEW email you actually recieved?!

-Create Go-To Outfits and Makeup looks
Now that you have your holiday gifts put them to use by putting together go to outfits so you'll never have to worry about having to get ready in a pinch. You can also do this with your makeup as well so when you get tired of the same shadow and liner combos, you already have a few different looks in mind. I know that this will definitely help me when I get into my mid-semester fashion ruts. Change is good, especially if you want to do something different for the new year.

This is just a list of thinks that I plan on doing while waiting for school to come bac in session. What are you going to be doing to be productive over winter break?
Thanks for reading!

Symone
